Next RDMIA Meeting

The Rio del Mar Improvement Association meets quarterly. We encourage association members and residents in our community who are not yet a  member to join us. All those looking to attend, please be sure to RSVP.

Who We Are

The Rio del Mar Improvement Association is a non-profit neighborhood organization.  Our members are committed to maintaining and improving the Rio del Mar community. The RDMIA mission is to make the Rio del Mar neighborhood a better place.

We strive to achieve the mission by:

  • Representing key community interests to Santa Cruz County government officials

  • Facilitating communication and engagement

  • Promoting neighborhood beautification

The association actively engages in these activities on behalf of its homeowners and residents:

  • Negotiate and initiate improvement projects, benefits and services that improve RDM resident’s quality of life

  • Educate homeowners and renters so they can more easily make informed choices

  • Advocate and represent vital issues to government leaders on behalf of residents

  • Protect community property values and natural resources from overuse, pollution, ill-advised development and neglect

  • Host twice-yearly membership meetings covering important local issues and updates

  • Broadcast useful community information via informative quarterly newsletters

The Rio Del Mar community boundaries are Aptos Creek, Hidden Beach, and Highway 1 and encompasses approximately 3,000 residents.  Thank you to those who are already members!  Please consider a membership or volunteering if you haven't already.
